A MASSIVE GLOBAL MARKET FOR OTEC & SWAC/LWAC

Ocean Thermal Energy Corporation (OTE Corp.) is addressing a large and rapidly growing global market with its OTEC and SWAC/LWAC technologies. Our proprietary plant designs have generated strong demand from governments, military installations, and commercial customers seeking continuous, independent energy and fresh water solutions—especially in U.S. military bases and equatorial nations facing critical infrastructure challenges.

U.S. MILITARY & GOVERNMENT MARKET

The U.S. Department of Defense operates multiple bases in tropical regions, where fuel supply chains are vulnerable and energy security is a top priority. OTE Corp. has submitted proposals for OTEC and SWAC/LWAC systems to support U.S. military bases and territories, including:

  • Secure, always-on power is essential for mission readiness in Asia-Pacific military installations, such as KwajaleinGuam, and Hawaii.
  • U.S. Territories, where OTEC can provide continuous power and desalinated water to improve infrastructure resilience.

EXPANDING MARKET IN EQUATORIAL NATIONS

OTE Corp. has contacted governments and private sector customers in India, the Philippines, and multiple African nations—all regions where OTEC can replace costly fuel imports and strengthen economic growth. With over 3 billion people living in tropical and subtropical areas, projected to grow to 7 billion by 2050 (United Nations), the demand for cost-effective, independent power and water solutions is accelerating.

PROVEN DEMAND & PROJECT DEVELOPMENT

OTE Corp. has:

  • Completed a two-year feasibility study for an OTEC system in the U.S. Virgin Islands, with approval from the U.S. Virgin Islands Public Services Commission (PSC).
  • Received strong interest from tropical nations seeking long-term solutions for energy, freshwater, and economic stability.
  • Designed and engineered large-scale SWAC/LWAC systems, including projects for mega-resorts and high-demand commercial operations.
  • Received a contract from the U.S. Army to design and engineer a floating Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion (OTEC) system that will provide continuous, fuel-independent power and desalinated water for a remote military base in the Pacific, enhancing energy resilience and operational security.
