Physician and author Oliver Wendell Holmes was born August 29th, 1809 in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He once wrote, “A moment’s insight is sometimes worth a life’s experience.” His poem Old Ironsides aroused popular sentiment in the 1830’s which helped to save the historic frigate USS Constitution from destruction. #ThisDayInHistory
