After studying six energy alternatives, three were chosen for further development: solar photovoltaic systems with battery storage, hydrogen fuel cells powered by solar, and ocean thermal energy conversion. These technologies leverage Kwajalein’s unique equatorial location and deepwater access, providing a sustainable blueprint for resilient, off-grid military installations.
