On December 13th, 2003, the former Iraqi dictator and terrorist Saddam Hussein was captured when the United States led an invasion into Iraq to topple its government. He had spent over 9 months in hiding, and was found in a 6-8 foot deep hole nine miles outside of his hometown of Tikrit. Hussein was found guilty of crimes against humanity and was executed by hanging on December 30th, 2006.
